Navigation: TomTom app not listed
If I'm clicking onto a point > navigation icon, I can choose from some external navigation apps. But "TomTom app" (former named "AmiGo") is missing.

Btw: Their 2nd app ("TomTom GO Expert") https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomtom.gplay.navapp&hl=en is working well with Locus' naviagation icon.

As mentioned in the old thread, if using other apps like c:geo or Android contact-app, I'm able to choose TomTom app. Even in Locus, if clicking onto the point > "sharing icon" (not navigation icon!) > further map providers :-)
So maybe the problem is that TomTom app is not reporting itself as a pure Navigation provider to Android, rather than a "mapping app"? On the other hand apps like c:geo or contacts are offering TomTom-app if clicking onto their "Navigation" icon.

unfortunately, TomTom is not declaring that it is a navigation app, so the system is ignoring it in its offer of navigation apps. Apps like c:geo must have tweaked this system somehow and added TomTom to the selection manually.

Hello! I don't think so that a "special tweak" is involved, since - like I mentioned- not only c:geo lists TomTom app, but also other ones. Although I'm not a Android-software expert, my guess is that there are certain options an App like TomTom could declare itself to an Android-phone:
- 1) pure Navigation app (which could be feed with coordinates or adresses)
- 2) other geographic app (which could be feed with coordinates only)
- 3) messaging app (whatsapp, e-mail etc)
- 4 ) image app (photo viewer..)
... ETC.
=> My best guess is that Locus (unlike c:geo, Android's contact app, or apps of companies to find their shops) is just listing 1)-apps if a user clicks onto "Navigate". But i think it would be ok to also list 2)-apps. A-locus user is able to choose his preferred Navigation app, although other "geographic" apps are listed. Maybe this is the reason other apps like c:geo are not strict listing just 1)-apps cause they know that some Navigaiton-apps are not declaring themselves 100%-perfect as 1) as they probably should
But it's easy for you to find out: Just look in Locus' source code what's different if a user clicks onto "Navigate to" and "Share"-icons in the context menu of a waypoint.
