Augmented reality

Hi

Nice to see augmented reality being included in the app so I gave it a try while on a hike recently. A few questions:

1/ In the recent blog about this it indicates that the LoPoints need to be highlighted on the map. I find that when in augmented reality as well as these highlighted points I also see some other Lopoints which were not highlighted. Is this a bug or is there some other logic involved ? I can't see any pattern as to why these other Lopoints are shown. (I also see the route waypoints and any other displayed user-points which is fine.)

2/ In order for it to be of use I also need to see the points' names/captions and to get this, as far as I can see, I have to center the point so the cross hairs hit it. This can be really very awkward and unfortunately makes it pretty much un-usable for me. I didn't use the old add-on but the old documentation shows a screenshot with all captions shown - not sure if by default or after tapping on each point - which would seem much better. Is there some way of achieving that now, which I've missed ?

3/ How does it decide how far to look for points ? The radar shows 2 kms. Is that fixed or can it be adjusted ?

Thanks.

Hi Alan,

the augmented reality tool is still in development and as such we announced it - it needs a lot of care by the devs until it is fully functional.

1) when the blog post was written, the beta version available then worked like that. Now to app displays all points in the AR window. This will be further discussed and tuned.

2) This will also be tackled in the future.

3) At the moment, the distance is fixed
