I think it is quite easy to understand what Fifi wants:

Device 1: waypoints A, B, C

Device 2: waypoints D, E

Wished outcome:

Device 1: waypoints A, B, C, D, E

Device 2: waypoints A, B, C, D, E

Thank`s Gynta :-)

Tommi62, thanks for this example, that`s all it is, a synchronization between two devices.

This is good idea, because now I need to export manually points to gpx or kml and then send it over bluetooth or any other protocol to te second phone. so it would be nice to have some sort of auto-sync between two devices or some kind of interface to easily exchange data between two androids

Hello,

This actally quite easy with the available means of the operating system! Just copy the respective .db files plus phots directory. I do this via my NAS, with folder sync from android market..with 3 machines. Is working very well, completly automatic.

Unfortunately, I have to say that this solution will works for you only till next Locus version. In next version will be huge changes of all databases and newly, all points will be stored only in a single file

This feature is a must and I don`t understand how they never implemented it.

Backup of the waypoints, tracks etc to, Sync and export it to DropBox...

This could be generalized to retain everyhing I entered to a cache (POI) when importing the same cache (POI) again. I would like to retain waypoints, note.

I think, this idea got re-visited in http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/cloud_map_and_data_storage_sync - with far more votes. So if you didn't vote there yet, do it now! ;)

I read through this thread and found it all about synching files as a whole. The real challenge is about building the SUPERSET of the CONTENT of two (or more) distinct databases (files).

Hence I voted for the "merge waypoints" rather than the other one.

Hi guys,

I would like to inform, you that Locus Map 4 (Gold Premium) contains a fully working synchronization system, that should cover this idea.
