I would ask to implement feature to show difference between measured elevation and DEM on recorded track save dialog. User could be able select which elevation data should be saved.

this is set up in Locus settings > GPS & Sensors > Altitude manager. On the entry tab you can select type of optimization or no-GPS (SRTM data only) elevation measuring.
