So from a users perspective, tapping on the three dots next to the live tracking, then select STOP (or START) is equally easy. It is of course easy to stop the live tracking from the notification area... Swipe down on the notification and you can stop it from there?

1. There is no notification bar inside Locus (in fullscreen mode!) to swipe ...but THAT'S not the point.

Button added as I agree, stop "Live tracking" over UI is quite "complicated".
I'm still not perfectly satisfied with tiny icons in top toolbar, but for now it have to be enough.
