Add link to app AND "Shortcuts"

Please add shortcuts to the "Add link to app" option for the sidebar buttons. This would create unlimited possibilities for button triggers buy using an existing or add-on shortcut. Also, by using Tasker shortcuts one could control just about anything including macro type of tasks directly from the Locus screen. I personally would use this to add media play/pause and skip buttons (tasker shortcuts) so I can have some control of music directly from the Locus screen. Very handy and provides safety when riding a motorcycle, snowmobile, or even in a car.

I don`t know if this is even doable ...

What launcher are you using? I have Galaxy Note 2 (with default launcher), and here is no possibility to define own launchers. Or at least I can find it ...

did you read answer below?

"Tried this.. it doesn`t work. it just gave back some android preset shortcuts like browser, contacts etc.. – Guy Sep 5 at 6:50" ...

I`ll check it, but expect same result ...

fine, I was playing almost an hour with it and seems it may work.

Anyway, it works on way, probably same as for any home screen programs. In locus will be need to set shortcut, that will then appear in right panel.

This whole idea, will need complete new system for storing information about content of the right panel (because for shortcuts, there will be much more info) so from my point of view, it`s at least half of day of work, maybe more together with testing.

I`m leaving this idea open, if there will be more people interested in this idea

Thanks for looking into it and hopefully we`ll get enough interest. Didn`t think it would such a big task.

It seems there is not a lot people interested in this feature. Also as I think about it, there is not much need to create from Locus right panel replacement for homescreen. Also exists many apps that allows to set overlays, improve top sliding menu or similar, so I think there are possible way to do your tasks. So I refuse this idea, sorry.
