Address Search not working

Hi there, first of all, thank you for this great app.
Ich have a problem with the address search when i tap an hold on a map on my Galaxy Tab P1000 with google as searchprovider (Mapquest works but is not as good as google). I use the app also on my Defy with the same settings an it works without problems. What might be wrong?

are you using original rom? do you have installed google apps? (market, google mail, google maps ... whole pack of google apps usually installed on officially supported phones)

yes i use the original 2.3.6 from samsung, i just rooted the device. the whole google apps are installed and working

ok marc. Then this is weird. Google apps are needed for this feature so it should work for you. Internet is probably also enabled right? (should be when mapquest works for you)
hmm last thing. Aren`t you using some firewall that blocks internet communication? Because MapQuest system use locus directly. But google search is used by Google app. So Locus call Google apps, these search online for address and return result to Locus. So not Locus, but some Google servise is connecting to internet.
If this also will not be your case, then I`ll need some log, if there isn`t any error on background

hi menion, i solved the problem by uninstalling all the updates of the google apps and reinstalled them from the market. now it ́s all up an running. thx again for this great app.

hmm when I read your solution, I`m very glad you tried this and found solution, because this .. ah, no idea how to fix it by some testing :). So glad it works for you and enjoy Locus

I have the same problem with Google as a search engine. The same on stock Glaxy s3 and tablet.

I have the same problem. If I search for an address and then select
something out of the proposal list. Then it does not take the selected
address but some other far away, also if i do not choose from this list. this can be reproduced but the result is somehow changing but does not show the correct address (https://www.google.de/maps/place/Obere+G.,+91056+Erlangen/@49.5896545,10.9728579,14z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x47a1f8a8e3f877d7:0x6f76023f83445249)
(search for "obere gasse 19" in germany/bavaria and select the list entry for "Erlangen". The result is somewhere 290km away in a region where i do not have a map for installed. sometimes it is near erlangen but the wrong address (not the one i selected)
I have a samsung galaxy note (gt-N7000) with android 4.0.4 (rooted) and original google applications. installing or deinstalling or re-installing of google apps did not work for me.
