After import of a zip-file I only get a "problem with file name.gpx"

Not a Problem

I have created an updated version of a file that I previously have imported.

Now when I try the new file (a zip-file containing a gpx, icon and a image directory) I only get message in the end stating that there was an error with my .gpx-file. Is there any way I can get more info on the reason for the failed import (so I can fix it)?

A log-file somewhere with more info, maybe?

Hello Stefan,

if there is not clear where should be a problem, I think best is to send me your file and I'll do a quick test.

You may also try to simplify a file little bit (step by step), till you find what caused this issue.

Hi. Thanks!

After some investigation I found that the problem was multiple "<!-- <!-- -->" in tags.

Hard to see in Notepad ++ but not liked when importing.

I'm really glad to hear this. Such problems are really hard to find and XML parser Locus use to handle these files, do not get clear errors. Rarely in log is line number where is problem, but usually it's just some crazy error.

So, perfect, enjoy Locus.

I actually found the error when I used MS Notepad 2007. Not as good on editing as Notepad++, but it found the errors.... :)
