All track exported to Google Drive are named "untitled"

Solved

Hi,

I use Locus Maps Pro version 3.19.0. After the last update I noticed, that all track files exported to Google Drive are named "Untitled" and have no extension. Content of these files is valid and proper according to chosen data type (GPX, KML, etc.). Track exported to local file system (on phone or SD card) and to online services (like Strava or GPSies) have proper names.

Good day Piotr,

very interesting. I'm trying to simulate your issue and unfortunately all works fine for me. May you please try to logout and login and try it again? Maybe some temporary issue on Google side. Thank you.

Hi,

I did what you suggested, but it didn't change anything. What more can I do to help you? Do you need some screenshots, Android version, phone model?

Good day Piotr,

I've spend on this problem a while, and seems it some kind of issue with older version of Google Drive API ( v2 ) that is used in Locus. Google already published new version ( v3 ), that anyway brings some bigger changes and it is not so simple to change them.

Surprise for me is that it do not work just for you. In this case, I logically expect same behavior for all users.

Anyway I'm sorry, I do not have instant solution for you now. I'll add this update to my roadplan with higher priority and I'll notify you here, once it will be done. Cannot promise exact time anyway, sorry.

Hi Menion,

Thanks for the interest and time you spent on my issue. Don't worry - it is only a minor problem, may be it makes exporting tracks to PC a little less comfortable as it could be, but after all it is still possible :-) But please let me know when you fix this issue.

Hi Menion,

During the weekend I had some more time to experiment with this export issue and I've noticed, that when I view exported tracks directly on Google Drive (in web browser), they have correct names. So I thought, it was not a case with Locus, but with Google... I updated Google Drive Sync soft on my PC, and problem disappeared. I'm sorry, I haven't checked this in the first place. Please consider this issue as solved :)

Googl Drive is only a means of transfer - I will enjoy using Locus. :)

By the way. I'm new Locus Pro user, but during last few months I've been using Locus quite often, mainly for bike rides, trips to mountains and geocaching. All these activities requires slightly different options. For instance: riding a bike I lock a screen in horizontal position, turn off screen locking, turn on line to GPS and quick distnace measurement, etc.

And every time I want to do somenting else I have to switch a few options in Locus settings. It is not a problem, but a little nuisance and the only thing which I think is missing in Locus - I mean: settings profiles. I think it would be perfect if user could save all the current settings under some descriptive name and then could choose this "profile" just as we can now choos a different map. Have you ever considered adding such a possibility to Locus?

Good evening Piotr,

this is something a lot discussed during last months. You may vote for this idea http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/add-different-profiles-for-settings , so you will be notified when there will be some progress.
