Allow hiding navigation points

Is it possible to hide navigation points? If I create a track with "Compute instructions" turned on, the number of blue navigation point icons is generally large and often I don't want to see them. For example:
It is possible to hide the start/ end icon from settings > Map objects > Track icons. But not the track icons along the track!
If this is possible, could it also be added to the list for Quick Settings?
I like this idea

Sorry, I realize we already had this discussion a few months ago. Now that navigation is becoming useful, if find all the blue dots completely hides the track.
