Android 8.0 Oreo

Don't know (yet) whether Locus has been tested on the new Android 8.0 Oreo yet, but I was reading something on it on GPS driven apps:

https://www.xda-developers.com/android-oreo-background-location-whitelist/

Now, seeing the high speed of development around Locus I fully expect that the new API level 26 will be complied to soon/already. Myself, I expect to be running my phones&tablets with new 8.0 ROMs soon, so we will see. Just curious.

Hello R50.nl,

to be true, I'm little lazy in setting up all possible emulators to test Locus Map on new Android version. I'll try to do this during next weeks. Anyway I was watching it carefully and I believe that for most cases, there should be no new problems. Key is here to have Locus running as foreground service which is happen during track recording correctly. Problem probably comes when only navigation will be running. "Locus as a service" settings will help here probably, but as I wrote, I'll rather check it.

Anyway I see NO NEW unsolvable problem that should come with new Android version, which is positive :).
