Ant+ sensors: export in a GPX file and overlay map display

Hi,

Two questions:

1. Is it possible do export ant+ data in a gpx file (HR, cadence, temperature, etc) ? For example Garmin connect web interface is able to handle these data in a GPX file. I already do it using Fitcloud Android app on my Galaxy Note 4.

2. When Hiking for example, is it possible to display the ant+ sensors information as an overlay on the live map.

With my best regards

Hello sl91,

1. did you tried it? It should work

2. sure, check "Dashboard" feature: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:dashboards

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. My sensors are correctly recognized in Locus Pro. What I am looking for is how to make the path recorder integrates HR, temperature and cadence sensors data. When I export a gpx, I can only find the basic data in the gpx, i.e. coordinates, altitude, time stamp.

Please try to export to GPX version 1.1. Maybe this is the problem?

Hi Menion

Again, many thanks for this fast support. Yes I have exported using gpx 1.1. Finally, it seems that the problem is not coming from Locus but from Garmin Connect Web interface when re-importing the file. Actually, when I export directly to my Strava account, all the data are there includig the temperature measure from ant+ Garmin Tempe. One sensor is not recognized, the Garmin Bike speed sensor (latest model: 010-12103-00).

By the way, will it be possible in the future to export directly from Locus Pro to Garmin connect (like with Strava) ?

You are of course welcome.

I'm now not sure if there is still any problem with Locus export or not. Best is of course, if you should be able to find out what is exactly a problem in exported files from Locus. Or anyone other has experience with exported GPX & Garmin Connect import?

Garmin connect had very serious issues on last december, january. It was really a shame considering it is developed by Garmin !

Ah so issue seems not to be directly in Locus right? Unfortunately I use nothing from Garmin, so I cannot even test it. If you find something what is wrong with exported data, feel free to write me here, I'll gladly fix it if will be clear, what to fix :).

I am (re)discovering Locus pro and I am really very, very impressed by its capabilities. I have tried it a couple of years before. Now, it is a very stable product. I believe that a pdf userguide would be very usefull.

Glad to hear it!

We hare completely new manual, which is still in preparation here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php . We would also like to provide some offline version, but for now, please use this online wiki manual. Thanks

Just bought Garmin Tempe. It works perfectly with Locus. I love Locus. I did not find how to show data in statistics. Ideally as a chart but min max would be nice too. Thanks in advance.

Good day Fero,

there is currently no method how to display these values directly in Locus. To work with recorded temperature data is needed to export recorded track into GPX or CSV files.

Thanks for quick answer Menion. Would be nice to implement it. Since hrm is already done this shouldn't be so difficult.

MyTourbook is a very good and stable windows software in order to analyze all the data included in a gpx file. In my case, it reads my Garmin Tempe, HR-SS3, Pod, cycling cadence and cycling speed sensors perfectly ! The gpx file is of course recorded using Locuspro.

Best regards
