Hello Jim,
I personally wear the Gear S3 device and I did not notice any problem with the latest version(s).
Do you see any error message or anything that may help us to identify the source of the problem (anything un-usual)? Thank you.

I'm not sure what the problem was but it cured itself after two days. The error I was getting on the phone app was that it was unable to connect to the device. No error from the watch except that it wouldn't record any tracks while walking or driving.
I did reboot the phone and watch but that didn't help. Nothing else unusual with phone or watch.
Thanks for your response.

Same problem here. I've got a Samsung S9+ phone and a Gear S3.
The application is not able to use the GPS of the watch. If I want to track a hiking route, and I want to carry the phone in my pocket, I can see the map on the watch screen, but tracking is disabled when the phone is in my pocket and not reaching GPS satellites from it.
Obviously the phone and the watch are connected, since I see the maps on the S3. If I try to connect the phone's application to an external GPS via bluetooth and I select the watch from the list of paired devices it says "Error connecting with the device". The same thing happens to me with heart rate tracking.
In the watch settings I have tried to manually give GPS access permissions to the watch app, but the app does not even appear in the list of location permissions.
In short, the set of phone and watch applications is only capable of tracking if I have the phone's GPS activated and also carry it in my hand (horrible on a route of several hours)
Is this a bug or is LM Pro unable to use the Gear S3's GPS? Because if it is the latter, it would seem like a very big limitation
