Appending tiles of the same online map to ONE file
Completed
Hi,
if you save an online map you have to specify a filename. If you do this mulitple time for the the same map (and region)
you have couple of files named e.g. mapname_region_number. They all must be individually activated if needed.
It is not possible to append the currently displayed map to an existend file. Saving is a couple of INSERT command working on the sqlite DB file. I'm right?
So, it would be nice to have all map tiles from an online map in the same Database (file).

Hi Jurgen,I think it's not necessary. Locus Map can automatically load neighboring maps, check your settings http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_settings:personal

Ok, I see.
My wish isnt simply to realize, because of the specification of MBtiles
The new tiles which should be added to an existing DB file has to be recalculated regarding to the old center point.
The best solution is to copy all DB files in a directory created in .../Locus/maps/
With the hint of Michal, Locus switches automatically between these DB files.
Cool!
A file selector (with the ability to create a directory) while storing the online map whould be fine.

Well, another way is to set Supplementary download (SQL) when downloading additional map tiles from the same area - it updates or supplements already downloaded map (cached or saved as offline) by additional map tiles. Very useful if you need to increase the area of your map coverage or refresh an obsolete map.
