Auto-export last track after stop as KMZ AND GPX format possible?

Peter shared this question 10 years ago
Answered

When I stop the current recording then the last track is silently stored in database.

Is there a way to let Locus AUTOMATICALLY export the last track as *.KMZ or *.GPX file?

or at least one of the formats?

Hello Peter,

sure, there is a way to let Locus automatically export last recorded track. Please follow these instructions:

Run Locus/Menu/Settings/Track record/Automatically export. There you can set type and parameters of track and every your recorded track will be automatically exported.

Hello Hana,

thank you for your suggestion BUT when I go to

Menu/Settings/

I did not find entry "Track record" - only "Track recording".

And when I step down into "Track recording" I found no "Automatically export".

Where is it in detail?

Is it removed in v3.0.2?

Hello Peter,

In new version you find it under

Menue/Track recording/open used profile/in Recording profile scroll down to end. There you find "Automatic export"

Ok, but the function "open used profile" (which I guess requires at first "add new profile") is only available in "Pro" version.

So I (as a "free" version user) cannot auto-export Tracks, right?

That would be a disadvantage over other tools like OruxMaps

You don't see a default profile? like "My profile"?

Tap and edit your own settings

otherwise if you want to use Orx - feel free to do it...

Hi Peter,

please follow suggestion from balloni55.

  • Open Menu > Settings > Track recording >
  • You can see three default profiles: Foot, Cycle, Car (active profile has red color)
  • Tap on the active profile (has red name) scroll down and tap on Automatic Export (see attached images)
  • Set parameters for export (folder, format) and finally submit changes with "Set" button in top panel
