Auto zoom won't zoom out at low speed

Regarding cycling. At good speed I'd like to see about zoom level 15, to see the route ahead. If a turn is coming, I'll ease off in speed and I want detail in a large size to get the correct turn, say zoom 18. If I slow further, I'm lost or choosing a new path I want to see more map and track, so back out to 15. I think it sort of works at cycle speeds, but I can't get this to work at pedestrian speed.

I want the same behaviour for cycling and walking (so I'll have to repeat the above for each range of speeds) (even if I didn't want pedestrian quite the same as cycling, I'd still need a 0kph zoom out below pedestrain speed, for when I stop on the bike, having slowed through the pedestrian speeds) and if I have zoom 18 at either 5 or 6 kph, no-matter where I add zoom level 15 (0, 1 or 2 kph), it just won't zoom out past 17. I've even tried mad things all the way up to zoom level 1.

I get best results using 3 and 6 kph for zoom out and in respectively, but it flat out wont zoom out to the zoom level I specify.

Cheers

Good day Goosien

hmm, let's try it in the next version. In current Locus Map is the condition that a) you have to move and b) the map have to be centered. So I left in app only condition b).
