Automatic downgrade?
Solved
I have purchased Locus Maps Pro and I have successfully used it (among other things) to record tracks. Now this function does not work anymore.
Apparently there has recently been an automatic software update, which may have resulted in an "automatic downgrade" of my version of Locus Maps.
If so, how can I restore the pro version and how to deactivate automatic updates?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Good day,
for me, most important part of your problem is "track recording does not work anymore". What does it mean, what is a problem and is there anything I may do to simulate your problem?
About "automatic downgrade" - I can't imagine any device do something like this. What version of Locus you have currently installed?

Hi Menion,
thanks for your prompt response.
Your last question: I have installed Locus Maps Pro (see attached file).
What does it mean:" Track recording does not...":
I activate track recording (as usual and as before). On the bottom left of the screen the red button"Rec" appears. Also, at the top of the screen, second from right, the message "Rec" with numbers indicating time and distance. So far ok.
I start moving: 1. Time and distance numbers do not change and all values remain zero. 2. On the map displayed on the screen there is no line showing my trajectory.
I stop recording. I check "statistics", "diagram" ect.: No entries.
About "automatic downgrading": If I remember correctly, I have previously made the experience with updating other software that I ended up with the respective free version with limited functionality, and a licence code had to be reinstalled to unlock the limitations.
Thanks again, and best regards,

Hello,
in this case, there is definitely problem with tracking your movement, but not with track recording function at all.
Do you see a blue circle on a map with your current location? If circle is green, then in your device is not enable receiving of locations from GPS.
You may also check satellite screen in Locus Map. What do you see there? Screenshot may helps here.

Hello again:
I do see a blue circle and GPS works properly.
I may have made an unfortunate choice in my settings:
If tracking is started the usual way by hitting the green triangle, a table shows up which says at the top:
"keine Daten für Diagramm" (no data for diagram). No recording. I hit the interupt button (orange double bar). A message is displayed "angehalten" (stopped). I hit the orange double bar symbol one more time. Surprise! Now my device starts recording and all functions seem to work properly: track display, statistics, diagram...
One thing for sure: There has been no "automatic downgrading"!
Best wishes, D. von der Linde

Hello,
if GPS is working properly, then there is only one possible problem I believe. As you wrote ... some problematic settings of track recording profile.
Please try to open Locus settings > track recording > and tap on "Add new profile". Choose your expected activity (does not make difference here) and in new screen change name to for example "Testing" so you simply recognize this profile. With these few steps, you create new default recording profile with default! parameters that should work without a problem. When you press back, you will see list of your defined profiles, so select your new "Testing" here and try to record something with short walk outside.
I expect this will work, so problem will be probably in one of your parameters for "Distance interval", "Time interval" or "Required accuracy" in profile you used.

Good afternoon:
I think with your advice I will be able to straighten out the problem.
Thank you very much.

Perfect, glad to hear it.
If there will be any more troubles, feel free to contact me, I'll try to help.
Suggest to read also our description of parameters in routing profile here. It may help to understand, where should be a problem.
