Backup to Google Drive NOT working

Backup to Google drive does not create anything in the specified folder. Neither automatic, nor manual backup works. There is a success confirmation however which makes it even more confusing as it leaves user under the impression it worked.

Hello Ivan,

in Locus own File browser, you correctly see the content of the Dropbox directories?

About success: you see success under the top-left notification center button? This is really weird, never saw incorrect notification result here. May you please also double check path to a backup directory and if files are really not there? Also, rather check if you have enough space on Dropbox. This is something I'm not perfectly sure I've tested correctly. Thank you.

Hi Menion

I checked the folder Locus map was trying to use for thr backups and it was the root folder in My Drive/Backups. I guess there could be some missing permission for the Locus map app as this is a special folder in Google drive.

I changed this to a custom folder that I created in Google drive. Still nothing created though when I trigger the backup manually. Do you know if triggering the backup manually is also triggering the cloud storage backup?

Hello,

interesting. Manual backup is only local. Hmm to test upload on Dropbox/Drive, you may give a try to export of points/tracks, where is also an option to upload the result to the cloud.

I'll have to try this "backup" directory, because message about success in the case, nothing was uploaded, is definitely a problem.
