Bad HRM data recorded

Hi

Locus does not save all the data from a heart rate monitor BT 4.0. Looking at the graph and GPX file is a lot of GPS positioning points but there is no record <gpxtpx: hr>. I tested another program while recording the heart, which save data every 1 s, all data were recorded. This confirms that there is noat a sensor problem.

I join screenshots from Locus and other application.

Good day Rob,

this is really weird. I'm checking code in Locus to see possible places where problem may appear.

Requirements for correct record of HRM value is:

- valid GPS signal

- HRM value bigger then 30

- HRM value not older then 10s

When these three conditions are met, value should be correctly recorded.

You show screenshot from other app. Did you tried to export data from this app and check if values are really there?

Btw. I'm using BT 4.0 HRM sensor for running as well and I saw never such issue.

What we may do, is create a testing application that will print out some values to system log, which may be later analyzed.

Hello

I attach a file with the exported data of this training. It seems that all the data is complete.

But I have an idea. I noticed, activating my smartphone screen that Locus repeatedly informed on the green notification box that connected the heart rate monitor. This may suggest that the Locus disconnecting the monitor HRM in some moments. The question is why?

Hi

I looked more closely and it confirmed what I have observed. For some reason, Locus disconnects communication with the HRM sensor and after a few seconds or several seconds reconnects (print screen). This is the reason for the lack of data that are visible on the graph and in the exported files.

Hello Rob,

more then year old unsolved topic, sorry for this. Are you still using Locus and if so, are here any news? I would like to see that problem is no more in Locus Map and everything works as expected. Let me know if I may do something for you here, thanks.

Hi Menion

Some time ago I changed my heart rate monitor. The situation has improved. I analyzed data from vacation and average error is 3% of unsaved HRM data . It's not perfect but it is not very bad :-).

Currently, the greatest expectation of all in Locus is the implementationion of HRM zones. It is important for all who training sport with Locus.

Merry Christmas.

Rob
