Basic voice commands for hand free handling

Hi,

While I was paragliding this afternoon, it was cold and I was wearing big gloves, so I was thinking in having some basic voice commands to:

- turn on / off the screen (very important to save the battery while recording a track).

- zoom /unzoom

- show compass...

Each command could be recorded once, and used to control the device.

Thanks, and keep doing great to improve your app which is already fantastic!

Hello, no plans for it? Can be done in a plug-in?

I already do these commands via voice control. Use Tasker to do this. You can use a hardware key on the phone (Bixby) or a different and different assignment to trigger it. It is also possible to work with an external Bluethoos button.

I use an external button on the bike. When hiking, I use the Bixby button. And when I don't have a free hand I use the google assistant. I can activate it by voice.

What is it that you want to achieve

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=falcosc.locus.addon.tasker&hl=en_GB&gl=US

this will integrate with tasker

start with voice commands to do things like flash an alrt, then add the locus bits when voice commands working

i use shake phone to open compass for example.
