Battery usage of Locus too high?

Hi, since some versions the battery usage of Locus seems to be very high.

Today I did a trip of 7 hours with motobike (Locus remained nearly all the time unused in the pocket). The only job was to record my trip (beside 2 geocache searchs).

Normaly after such a trip the battery is arround 40-50 % ... but the last recent times its just short before a collapse.๐Ÿคค

In th system state I could see a usage of 30% only for Locus ....

Any idea?

I use a S7 with the latest Locus version.

Hi,

do you use Google Services - backed localization in Locus or not? Check it in settings > GPS

No, I don't use Google Services.

Never touched this setting ... imo. ;)

On some devices, Google Services assisted location is more battery efficient than "normal" locating via GPS only. Test it and let us know. However, GPS is not the only one factor influencing battery consumption of Locus, see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:locus_performance

Thanks for the helping answers. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I tried several ๐Ÿ™„ of the suggested things ... and today after a 3 hours tour it looks much more better. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
