Black lines cover part of the map
Answered
As per the 2 screenshots, it happens in all the maps I tried, both online and offline. Over a certain zoom level the lines disappear. I thought the problem might be with SRTM data, but deleting it doesn't solve the problem
Hi Michele,
are you sure you deleted and re-loaded ALL elevation data in Locus/data/srtm folder?

Yes I am, I rechecked by deleting all the files in "SRTM" again and the problem remains even in absence of altitude data. However while I was doing that I discovered that the lines appear only if map shading is enabled.
The two things seem to contradict themselves, if you need more data/tests just tell me

Hi Michele,
you wrote "the problem remains even in absence of altitude data". The map shading is generated from the elevation data. When there is no elevation data, there is no map shading, including its defects. Please check you have only one "srtm" directory in your phone, or, even better, check Locus settings > Miscellaneous > Default directories > Set 'data/srtm' directory. Then go to the directory that is set there and delete all its contents ("srtm" can be also on your external SD card)
best regards
Michal
