Blackberry and where can i get a Voucher ?

Hello,

i am using Locus Pro since Eclair or Froyo. Motorola Defy with vector maps and my own theme is still my favorite hiking and biking device. I also have a Motorola G2 LTE with an up to date version of Locus Map Pro but now want to switch to Blackberry 10.

I cant get Locus Map from Amazon. The Amazon app doesnt find Locus Map.

I now copied the app v 3.5.3 from my Gingerbread Defy to the Blackberry. It seems to install without any problems. But on the first start it wants to download additional data and this fails with error 1811,1811. I guess because there is no Google Play to verify if i own the app. It offers to enter a voucher code and i would like to give this a try. Even if i have to buy the app again. I am perfectly happy with the old version.

Can anyone tell me how to get a voucher ? Or how to get Locus Map from Amazon ?

Where did you purchase Locus app? You have mentioned two types of stores. Which Android version do you use in your Blackberry 10?

Hello Hana,

i purchased Locus Map at Google. That was in 2011 or so.

Blackberry runs its own OS. But it is able to work as an emulator for Android 4.x apps. But there is no Google Play app and the Amazon app does not list Locus Map for Blackberry devices. Otherwise i would have bought the app again from Amazon.

Unfortunately, there is not possible to use Locus Pro without Google Play app.

Also, I am not able to transfer your purchased license from GP to Amazon.

There is necessary to pay Locus again via Amazon app store, but before it, please install Locus Map Free for sure that Locus works fine on your device with Android 4.x.

Hello Hana,

thank you for your help. Unfortunately Amazon doesnt list Locus Map for Blackberry anymore. They list basically no apps anymore. I think this has something to do with changes in den API and the app manfest. I would have bought Locus a 2nd time if it was available. The money was not the problem.

Thank you for your help. I understand now that Locus Map is only on Android available. On the Blackberry i now use Orux.
