BTLE Sensor Connection Lost

Jens shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

I successfully use a BTLE Speed and Cadence sensor on my bike.

I've set up Locus to automatically connect to the sensor when recording.

The sensor goes into a Standby mode if the wheel/crank is not moving for a certain amount of time.

However, Locus doesn't reconnect to the sensor when it's available again. Other Apps, i.e. Strava do this just fine.

It would be great if Locus could re-connect to the sensor whenever it's available.

Good day Jens,

in your case, Locus never reconnect to device? I'm checking Locus source code to be sure, and it should automatically try to reconnect to BT device after 20 seconds of inactivity. This do not happen to you?

EDIT: I'm asking mainly to be sure, you waited at least these 20 seconds.

I definitely waited more than 20s, I had Locus connected and running during the swim portion of a triathlon and it didn't reconnect throughout the entire bike leg.

Edit: Could it be that this only happens when the BT Manager is open? I tried this at home today and it worked just fine, says "searching"->"connected".

Ah, I was worried you will write it.

Oki, I've improved reconnecting code. To be true, I've found a small issue there, that may cause this problem, so I hope this will help. Sorry for a complications and if possible, try it with next version and let me know.
