yes this is possible
- if coords are visible in top panel, click on it an select e.g. title
- next open maps > top right 3-dot button > empty map and select one

Hi Sonja,
hold finger on the GPS indicator in the topbar and select "Turn off". Your GPS position on map is then unknown, only the screen cursor remains.
