Cannot get Navigation to Work since New Update. Help Please

I cannot get the App to navigate. I select a destination from a previously saved point, then select 'Navigate to' and the 'Navigate to' screen opens up as normal. Then I select say 'Fast' and this changes to blue background but nothing happens after that. I cannot see how to get the App to accept the choice and start calculating. Please does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I have noticed that when I drop out of the App and go back in some time later the last selection (of either 'Fast' or 'Short' or whatever) still has the blue background selected, which is different to previous.

I've got Locus Map Pro version 3.18.7 and the navigation data source is set to 'Yours', (although neither of the other 2 options works either).

I have the Samsung S5 Mini with Android Lollipop installed.

Hello Les

after you have set your destination locus jump back to screen where you have selected fast/bike.... next click on the round blue button with navigation symbol to start navigation.

For this is is necessary you have valid "sat fix" green gps icon!! otherwise you see next button "waiting"

Thank you Balloni55, that works a treat. Is that new only I don't remember doing that before? I tried the blue button the first time today and when it didn't start calculating right away thought it wasn't working. Now you've responded I realise I must not have had the satellite fiX and failed to see the 'waiting' message. Thanks for your help. I am lost without my Sat Nav! Regards Les

Good day Les,

not sure if it works for You now or not. Satfix is really needed? In case, your startpoint is "GPS" and target point is "whatever", after You tap on this blue "start" button, Locus should immediately return to main map screen. In case you have "satfix", compute of route should start immediately, otherwise you should get at top of screen "waiting" button that will be visible till your device won't have satfix.

Is it working in this way for you?

Hi Menion, yes I believe it is. After pressing blue button it goes to the map screen, waits if no sat fix otherwise it starts to navigate.

Perfect, so I think topic is solved!


For your information ... this change was made mainly for services where exists some special settings. Like for "MapQuest" where are some extra options which are now accessible more easily then before.
