hi,

thanks for a report. I`m not sure if this is "problem". Anyway better should be display point on track in same way as when you tap on any point on map and allow to add it to current track.

so "fixed"

Hi Menion,

this is just a different description.

Anyway, good to know it is solved.

hm - i`m not sure now.

What`s the "trick" to create a manual track along an loaded and visible track?

hm - i`m also not sure now

on what are you ask? I looked once more on your video and tried same in latest locus version. And there is a big difference. In new Locus version, you`ll get point on track on which you clicked, so you may choose it as a next point on new track

point info of master track should not popup. that`s the point.

Menion, Is this your last fix in this case?

You mark this topic as "Solved" - but i can not recognize anything.

I still don`t understand, sorry.

There is a big difference between your two videos

In first, when you tap on track, you saw big orange box with warning that you cannot select a track

In second, you get dialog with point on track with ability to add it to new track. That`s all

If there is need to add point to new track completely manually, then you may

1) hide already existing track

2) move map center to place you want, and tap on first button on bottom panel

So from my point of view, problem is solved. Or is there any other solution that user/you expect?

@1) Sometimes i need only a old section of an exist track to create a new route.

so i can`t hide my master track :)

@2) Good point but that corrupt the really nice "quick add" feature ;)

currently

- the point info pops up

- the screen was not centered

My suggestion

IF function "add new route" is active

disable "tap on a point" dialog

I cannot agree. I`m sure there are many cases, when you want! to pick up a point (on track or some separate waypoint). By disabling "tap on point", I disable this possibility.

On second side, when I keep it as is, this allow to a) pick a point and use it, b) choose place near existing point with centering map and using button from panel.

So sorry, but I`m not convinced yet :)

as i wrote

this "problem" was reported from a user in our forum.

conclusion:

Don`t use option "quick add" inside "add new route" function.

rather use normal "+" button on bottom left side.

thanks for your attention
