Center of map is constantly going back to current position
Solved
In the current version (2.12.0), when the GPS is enabled (in Locus), the map center is constantly changed to the current position.
For example, when looking in a cache, or after some seconds of inactivity.
I find this very annoying.
I can`t believe this is a feature, because we had some very simple button on screen to go to the current location.
hm
I can`t reproduce this yet.
(GPS was ON with "green" status.
Moved the map an wait 2 minutes.
Can you give me another example, please?

Well, actually it is a feature.
But you can configure it:
http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php/manu... : map_hold_center_method_timeout

but this works together with button [7]

I can only confirm rvhedegg`s problem with active button 7 as you write.

Hi guys,
Thanks for confirming this issue and for pointing me to the documentation. But this behavior has changed since last version, isn`t it?
I`m not sure, but was button[7] a toggle button in the previous versions?
Or is this advanced setting "map_hold_center_method_timeout=5" new?
Changing the value to 0 didn`t work.
Anyway, something has changed, and I liked the previous behavior more then this one. So, how do I get it back?

Yes, button[7] was always a toggle.
And map_hold_ blabla is there for a long time.
I`m personally not aware of a change in this area but why not set "map_hold_center_method_timeout=3600"?

Cant find a bug here
If the button is not active (black bg) - your map should not moved.
If you press the button - your map should moved to last known position
If you don`t press the button - your map should not moved.
if the button is active (blue bg) you go back to map center.

wait, I`m little confuse now ...
button 7 - centering, has two modes based on your settings
http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php/manu...
1. "Hold center method" enabled
when you move map, centering will remain enabled and after some defined time, Locus will automatically center you
2. "Hold center method" disabled
when you move map, center button will turn off, so centering will be disabled! and you`ll be no more centered till you enable this again

Menion,
That`s the answer! But how is it possible that this setting is enabled while I never touched it?
Anyway, I have my old behavior back and learned something in the process... ;-)

didn`t you re-installed Locus? Because this is now a default settings. It`s only way how this may happen ...

No, I downloaded the test application 2.11.10 and used it for a while.
That was the first time I noticed this behavior.
But my wife has the same behavior on her phone, and never installed or tested the test application.
