Answered

Hi,

is there already a way to add three things to the right top menu while navigating to a waypoint?

I miss "add new waypoint" , "back to listing" , "hint".

Please see picture to see which menu I mean.

Thanks Wolle

Good day Wolfgang,

sorry for a delay in response.

Thanks for a precise description. I had incorrectly understand your initial post and was thinking you speak about cache itself, sorry.

I may confirm now, that none of there features is possible, so this is more a "Idea" then a "question".

I may change this question to idea so other may votes. Anyway at least I've added option to display parent cache itself directly from this menu, so one step less to get back to parent cache features.

Good day Wolfgang,

- "back to listing" may be done by tap on long line itself, not on the menu

- "hint" may be enabled in settings > maps > points & tracks > point popup content. Content of this "three dot menu" is same as content of same menu when you tap directly on a cache on the map, so it has also same settings

- "add new waypoint" is not currently possible and I do not think that it's so frequently used feature that it worth own button here.

Hi Menion,

thanks for your replay :)

Which line do you mean ?

- "hint" may be enabled in settings

But not for the Waypoint popup.

- "add new waypoint" ...I do not think that it's so frequently used feature

If you do a Multi Cache it would be very helpful. Because if you navigate to a waypoint and want to navigate to a new calculated one, it's a lot of tapping around. If it would be accessible on the waypoint popup this would be helpful and probably used a lot by others too.

Thanks Wolfgang

Hi,

"back to listing" ... tap on top information panel on any other place except three dot menu.

"hint" ... ah for waypoint. Sorry, here is does not make much sense. In case of multi-cache with 5 stages, in four cases you get "hint" that will belong to cache and not waypoint itself, so such button should cause only confusion.

" add new waypoint" ... I still believe that it's not so frequently used feature. Also writing coordinates + some name, description is so much taps, that three more at start makes no difference.

Thanks for understanding.

Hi Menion,

"back to listing" ... tap on top information panel on any other place except three dot menu.

I guess you mean the listing of the waypoint and not the listing of the Geocache?

Let me just explain what my problem is. I do a Multi Cache. I choosed first waypoint and started 'Guide on' for walking to Stage 1.

If there is no information on child waypoints provided:

At Stage 1 I have to go back to the listing to know what to do (tap on information panel, tap symbol on left botton, swipe left). Then I calculate S2. Go to menu add new waypoint and go ahead. If I want to know the hint I have to tap on information panel, tap symbol on left bottom, menu and now tap hint and then back and map symbol to be back on navigation mode.

If there is information on child waypoints provided:

At Stage 1 I want to switch to Stage 2 guidance. So I have to tap on information panel, tap symbol on left botton, choose other waypoint.

That's a lot of tapping around when you often switch between listing, hint, next waypoint. A Multi cache with a lots of stages is nothing special.

If the waypoint popup would have the additional entries 'Hint, Main-Listing and Add new Waypoint', there would be no need to tap around.

Did you unterstand what I am meaning? It would simplify the usage by doing multi caches a lot :)

Thanks, Wolfgang

Hi Menion,

no problem because of the delayed answer.

It sounds good, that you added an option. I'll wait the next release and then will start it as an idea from new. It would be to hard for others to get through the whole discussion.

Thanks Wolfgang
