Changing top bar menu icons

When I updated to the testing version, the old preferences had 4 buttons (which is too much for my tiny display).

Long pressing on one of the buttons brings up a menu "Change / Information".

Info is about the button, no help.

Change only enables to change the button (or add if less than selected).

There is no option to reduce the number of the buttons.

There should be, then it would be possible to control the top menu from a single `place`.

Now the only option I found is to go to settings/bla bla/number of buttons. It works but is not so intuitive.

Settings...

Maps and Control Panels

Click on "Number of buttons" and change it to 2 or 3.

hmm it isn`t, but this should be just one time action. I expect that right panel is changing quite often compare to top panel. That`s why top panel have definition "hidden" in settings

Sorry, my mistake - I misunderstood the original post.

That`s the problem, it is a "one time action". I had 4 buttons in use when I saved the preferences few months ago. Therefore I had hard time to remember how I can get back to three buttons.

But I think (hope) that I will remember this for a few months. And I`ll save the new setting immediately to my preferences :).

fine, so if you agree that it`s just "one time action", I decline this idea. Top panel is created in little bit different way then right panel. I`m not saying I cannot change this, but I don`t think it`s really needed. So just remember, menu > settings > map - control & panels, is your secret place ;)
