Choose your own chart colour!
Completed
Hello Menion (and other LM experts),
what do you think of the feature of choosing your own colours in the dashboard chart?
For now you made a fixed colour scheme (for example speed in red, cadance in green and heart rate in brown). I'd like to choose my own! (like speed in orange or heart rate in black). Actually simular to the other items (like numbers) in the dashboard.
To me other usefull look-and-feel features of the chart could be
- the option to have a thicker line and
- to make the chart 100% clear or invisable (so you only see a line and nothing beneath it)...
Thanks for your great app and continous progress on it! And for a reaction to my suggestion,
Tom from the Netherlands
Hi guys,
in next Locus Map version will be added into "experimental settings" (long click on "Settings" in the main menu and then an option at bottom of app settings) option, to change the color of charts. Hope it will work fine for you.

Good day Tom,
I'm always surprised, what may users wants to customize :).
To make it simplier > I'm against option that defined custom colors. It is now over limit of what I wants to allow customize. But! if there will be interest of more people, I may offer adding three extra parameters to config.cfg file that allows to modify (globally, so on all places) colors of charts for certain values.
About extra option to turn off drawing of area below chart ... hmm make sense, so why not. Happy voting.

I have elevation and gradient on the chart. Id like to find ways to make both lines more readable. +1

Hello guys,
so problem is not the color itself (like you don't like red), but more the fact, that chart is not perfectly readable on the sun? If you have any suggestion to other color that will looks better on white background (in the "Chart" tab of a track) and also over then map (basic or satellite), please tell. I'm anyway worried that there won't be many of such contrast colors.

Right, absolutely right. To me als a race biker it is all aboutt a clear view! That's why I use big numbers and just a few buttons.
The dashbboard (I want to share it, but te forum does not accept this file type) gives me a quick overview of the route and of the most important indicators of my driving (ant+ speed, ant+ cadance, ant+ heart rate and the averages, of course distance and traveltime).
The current development of speed/cadance/heart rate I try to follow by the chart. But as you can see in the print screen, the chart is not that clear - especially for the brown colour over most maps (wich are usually quit bright).
You asked me for the best recognizable colour. That would be black (like the colour I use for most numbers). And a bit thicker than the current line...

Hmm understand.
I'm checking code and what you think about decreasing visibility of bottom fill color by another 10%, but mainly increasing width of top thin line. I've checked code and width of line was set to lowest possible value. I've done a small test and with same colors but a more "fat" line, it's a lot better and lines are clearly visible no matter what map is below.
As I wrote, I'm not a big fan of extra settings for chart colors, but I absolutely agree, that chart on your screenshot is not perfectly visible. So next try in next version ...
