Config error with Chartbundle TAC charts

Carl Mascott shared this problem 12 years ago
Solved

Locus Free 2.2.2

Selecting Chartbundle terminal area charts (TAC) actually selects Chartbundle sectional charts (SEC). Example: compare the Chartbundle TAC and gridded TAC for Boston, MA, US. The TAC is a sectional; you can see a white rectangle with `TAC` printed in it that shows the bounds of the actual TAC. The gridded TAC is a TAC. I think your TAC URL has `/sec/` where it should have `/tac/`.

Good catch Carl.

If you select "Terminal Area Gridded", and then zoom out to zoom 5 or less, you can see the individual TAC charts on a gray US outline.

If you select "Terminal Area", and then zoom out till you see the entire US, you see that the entire US is covered in Sectional charts.

thank you Carl. Exactly as you said, wrong "sec" value instead of "tac"

I can confirm this is fixed in v2.2.3, but I have a couple of tips:

1. After updating to v2.2.3 clear online map cache (Settings->Miscellaneous->Clear map cache). If you don`t, you may still see sectionals that were cached as TACs before the problem was fixed. This happened to me and it took me a while to figure out why I was still seeing sectionals at some zoom levels.

2. After #1, at the next program restart I was looking at a gridded screen with no map. It turns out that #1 leaves no map type selected. Just go into the map manager and select any map type.

Re #1-

Clearing Online Map cache via settings clears cache for ALL online maps.

Cache for INDIVIDUAL Online Maps can be cleared as below-
