Coordinates not the same as in google maps

Hans Henrik Bay shared this problem 11 years ago
Not a Problem

I made som GPS points in Locus Free 2.9.1, but if I use the same points i google maps I get a place 50 km south of the point.

On the map in Locus the point is displayed right.

What is wrong ?

Hans,

you have to provide more information. I never heard about such problem, so best should be step by step method to get same result as you have.

Very strange. Tried again today, and now it saves the right points. But all the points from yesterday are 50 km. wrong ! But it shows them right on the Locus map

Really strange

Okay:

When I save a point I go to : Data, points, press the category, press position, press GPS, Locus then shows the coordinates and I press yes.

hmm when this problem occur again, try to really check if both points are same. There will probably not be any problem in Google Maps so it should be something in Locus. On other side, this basic function like storing point and sharing coordinates is so old and so well tested ...

I`ll gladly help, but for this, is needed to be able to simulate same problem on my device. So when this happen again and you`ll be able to simulate it, let me know.
