Good day Bernd,

Does this happen with the latest Locus Map 3.38.6 version? The only rare issue we know about is when the user uses LoMap map as an overlay. Then sometimes the app crashes. Is it possible reason in your case as well? You may try to rename your Locus/mapsVector directory to something like mapsVector2. Then Locus Map won't be able to find overlay map and should start. After disabling overlay in the application, you may rename it back. Let me know if this was the problem and a small tip helped.

Otherwise, I'll need a bug report created by this method.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the troubles with the app.

Hello Menion,

thank you very much! It starts again. I will give feedback later if it works by disabeling the overlay. It seems like there was Overlay activated, but no map choosen and additionally there was an active download (which was stopped) on the map which was actually choosen as base map.

we love the App very much despite from that first issue :-)

Great Work!

Thanks a lot.

Bernd

Edit: It still works when I deactivated the overlay, resumed the download, stopped Locous pro and then I deleted the new empty Locus/mapsVector and renamed the backup mapsVector2 back in mapsVector.

I have exactly the same problem with my Cat S61 on Android 8.1

After I renamed the VectorMaps locus was able to start again. Then I disabled the map shading and now it starts again with the VectorMaps folder.

I send you a couple of Android Crash Feedbacks as Google provides them after an app crashes.

Good day guys,

I'm glad to read that this small "hack" helped. The issue seems to be some weird side-effect. I'm not sure why this happens and I'm even unable to simulate it, but I'm sure I've found a valid method how to fix it. So in the next version, it will be for sure ok. Thanks and sorry for this complication.
