For the online cycle route planning, you can with an advantage use the cycling dedicated planner/router Brouter-web , a web frontend for BRouter ( B as bicycle ) routing service, that exist as Android application as well, with Locus-BRouter integration ( BRouter application does not have own planning GUI ).

The router of the web has bicycle related features like consideration of elevations, OSM way types and qualities.

The web offers some standard routing profiles, and more is here .

You can then generate on the BRouter-web the GPX file of the route ( or from any other online planner of your choice) and import the file into Locus. If GPX is taken from BRouter, and recent profiles are used, it will provide navigation hints at crossings and junctions.

OTOH, he provided a precise answer to the yes/no question.. :-)

If the OP asked how, gynta may have provided the manual pages

But the truth is, the newcomers need a friendly help to determine what they really want and need to know.

sorry, as you wrote: it was a yes/no choice. so sorry for my accuracy. If you want to perform a monologue, you have to talk with willy :D (just joking with an insider)

Letter e is said to be the most used letter in English. With next keyboard, try better wear leveling of the keys.. ;-)

HI Jason, hi guys,

glad to see such a fruitful discussion...;) Thank you Libor for helping Jason. I'd just like to add that there are loads of route planning websites, not only BRouter.de, that export tracks in GPX format importable to Locus. E.g. Bikemap.net, GPSies.com... Locus can navigate along any GPX route but as a matter of fact BRouter routes come with pre-generated navigation commands (with others Locus generates them itself based on the shape of the route which is not as precise)
