Cut and save current record(-ing) -ed track

Hi,

I automatically start track recording with locus. When I arrive at the parking place I stop and save the recording and start it from new. To easily separate driven and walked part. To make that easier it would be great:

To have a button on the track panel which just does a stop, save and start with one click ;)

Thanks Wolfgang

Good day Wolfgang,

thank you for your interesting idea. I imagine this task as a little complicated and not sure if perfectly usable. Most of people probably use different recording profiles for different activities. This means that your idea is not just about stop/start of same profile, but more about stop/choose different/start. Which complicates situation a lot.

I'm sorry, but I have to suggest to use some helpers to achieve this task, like automatic saving of your recordings to certain folder after stop, which may made this more quick or a solution I usually make > split track manually at home after record over Track editor (most usable method, because in terrain I usually forget to stop certain recording and start different).

Hope my arguments are clear. If more people find this idea really must-have, please correct me. Till then, idea declined. Thanks for understanding.

Hi Menion,

I did not think that's it too complicated.

I also thought at the problem of different activities. I just thought it's later easier to change the activity of a track as remind where I have to cut it manually ;)

When I go Geocaching I sometimes drive, walk, drive, walk, drive, walk,.... so it would be easier to just do an "online cut" of the track.

The best would be an automatic detection but it think this is not for what locus is designed too. I have a fitbit tracker others have other tracker I don't think it would be possible to get the data from all these different tracker to adjust the activities.

So I just thought a online cut would be great. But if it's too complicated I can understand you.

Thanks Wolfgang
