Did something change in POI icon size handling change in 2.20.0/2.20.1

Anders Lundmark shared this problem 10 years ago
Solved

When I hover an "internal" POI icon like the endpoint icons of a track or the default "i" POI icon they grow a little which makes sense to me to emphasize what's under the cursor. But when I hover a POI icon from an imported kml file it actually shrinks quite a bit, which seems odd. I don't remember this behaviour from 2.19. Is this som error in the kml file or an inconsistency in locus?

Regarding the update from 2.20.0 to 2.20.1 I think the removal of the "...Working" message when opening the new point screen made things more confusing. Now I'm left with 1.5 seconds wondering if anything happened, instead of getting confirmation that android is trying to figure out how to draw that screen.

Hello Anders

I'm testing a few KML files and all seems to work correctly for me. May you please share any sample file with me, so I can check where is a problem?

About loading dialog - I agree that some notification, that you really tap on point should be there, so we will try to create any (in worst case add back loading dialog) to next Locus version

Thanks for your help Menion!

Example kml-file

This is what the POI icons looks like after import with map icon size set to 50%.

The R-icons is from the kml-file and there is a default POI icon above the name "Flarken"

and here is how it looks when hovering over a kml POI icon:

Thank you Anders,

little bit funny is that after import, I saw small images in normal state and big if highlighted. Seems that both should be same.

I hope problem is fixed now. If you want to be sure, here is testing version

These are stubborn icons! I tested testing and I still have the problem, but I think also a better description how to reproduce.

-On first import with map icon size set to 100% all icons are of comparable sizes.

-Set map icon size to 50%, all icons become smaller as expected.

-Quit locus and restart it, now kml point icons are too large when not hovered, but correct size when hovered over.

- Set map icon size to 100%, icons become larger, but hovered icon is still smaller.

- Quit and restart locus, now both icons are the same size again!

Thanks

Anders

Perfect description, thank you!

I'm sure I found a problem now.

So it will work correctly in next version. Thank you for a report and

help with solving. If there will be any problem (because of some changes

it's possible), feel free to continue here or create a new topic.
