Different zoom-level and missing tiles
Solved
Hi,
I have downloaded outdooractive-maps for different regions in Austria recently. Now I face two problems. Firstly some tiles show a different zoom-level than other tiles. Some tiles are shown only on a very low zoom-level an do not change in details when zooming in. Secondly there are some tiles that are not even displayed on a specific zoom-level.
I use the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Android 5.0.1) and Version 3.11.3 of Locus Pro.
See the attched screenshot. What causes this problem and how could it be solved?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hello Paul,
the missing and re-scaled tiles are placed out of the border of the downloaded Wien map. I'm sorry this is not bug. Locus simple re-scales tiles from higher level because tiles from higher level covers bigger area.
Thank you for understanding
Best regards
Petr

Hello Petr,
thanks for the immediate reply. But I don't agree with your answer, that the missing tile is out of the boarder of the downloaded area. I send you a few more screenshots. You can see, which areas I have downloaded (yellow highlighted). The eastern tile should cover whole Vienna and Klosterneuburg as well. But it only does on a higher zoom-level. As soon as you zoom-in, tiles disappear oder remain at the same zoom-level. Within the boarders of the more western area you can find more examples of tiles with a different zoom-level and tiles with no geo-information at all. I have bought both maps for 300 LoCoins each and I expect them to work properly.
Best regards
Paul

Ok, now I have noticed, that Klosterneuburg really is out of the boarders of the first map as you described. So your answer is correct in this respect. But the problems remains the same for the western part of the map. What about the holes in this map?
Best regards

I have the same problem with outdooractive maps. It seems there is a bug in downloader which doesn't download all tiles of all zoom layers. See attached screenshots with holes in the map...

Hello Guys,
it's really seems that there is some problem with your maps. Are you able to share any problematic map with us? For example via dropbox, google drive? Map files are located in folder /locus/maps/outdooractive
Thank you for your help

Hi Petr,
ok, thanks for your investigation and for your offer. When do you expect the next version of locus to be published?
Best regards
