Distance measurement

it would be nice to have a possibility to measure a distance in mapscreen.
Similar google earth "Ruler" Line/Path.
So the user can check the distance of different ways
I like this idea

currently there are no plans for any "faster" method of measuring. I think if you use this method more often, you may simply place "Add new route & measure" to main or right menu. This feature has also an altitude profile for measured track under tools button in bottom panel
