Hello James,

are you using latest version of Locus?

Also your location change on map, as well as guiding line, but value above/below line remain same for most time?

Thanks for the quick reply. I just downloaded it from Google Play. The value remains the same even after I`ve walked 10 yards. Also, when recording tracks, the map screen doesn`t update frequently and when it does, it draws a straight line instead of a breadcrumb trail. Having a difficult time setting the program up for hiking/geocaching.

Hmm this looks more on problem of your GPS then Locus itself. You may do simple check by trying GPS in different application.

Only feature that may affect this behavior, is "Auto GPS off". This settings is in menu > settings > GPS & Location. So rather check you have this feature disabled

Well, I`ve used the GPS successfully with c:geo; it`s as accurate as my hand-held GPS receiver. I do have GPS auto-off selected, but I also have GPS update interval set for 120s, Min accuracy set for 10m, Max search time for 60s, and Keep auto-off enabled.

What about the track display on the map? How do I set it up to show my actual (curvy) track rather than a series of straight connected lines?

*Unselect* GPS auto-off and all will be ok for you.

I`m not happy with the implementation of this feature as well as it has higher priority than functions in Locus which need accurate GPS position like tracking, show current position on map etc.

Thank you, it works well now, distance is constantly updated and the track is displayed. Now I have to find a good balance between performance and battery drain.
