DNFs shouldn't add to the number of founds

kwizatz haderach shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

When I try to log a DNF the log count adds a found. Could you please correct this? It would be very practical and I see no value in the actual behavior.

If there is an option to alter this behavior, please tell me where can I find it.

Best regards and keep up the awesome work.

Good day kwizatz,

I'm really surprised to see such bug report. Wasn't this just some accident or incorrectly remembered previous state of found number? Anyone else with same experience?

I'll check it more precisely tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply and I further explain.

I presently have 2842 founds.

When I try to log a DNF, the comment section already has some automatic parameters (founds, time, TFTC) and it reads: #2843, {t}, TFTC so, it adds one

Ah, thanks. Agree it may be little confusing. Anyway counter is not really increased. You may check counter in settings > geocaching > pre-fill format. Here values remains same even after DNF.

"Problem" here is that this defined format is used for all kinds of log, not just for "found". Anyway counter is really increased only for "found" logs.

I'll try to improve it to next version so at least for DNF and others, count will remain on current value and not on new, by +1, increased value.

Ah, ok. If that's the case, I'm fine with the way it is.

Thank you.

Please do not forget about "Attended" log. It should be the same behaviour as "Found"...

No worry, currently as "found" is considered "found it", "attended" and also "webcam photo taken" events.
