Download of map on SD card
Answered
I have a samsung galaxy A3 2016 with android 6.0.1 and a 16 gb SD card
I try to download a 2.5 gb map but i get a message of insufficient storage.
The application is on SD and the map directory is SD.
The download gos on the internal memory which is not enought.
How can I direct the download on SD ?
Thanks for your support.
Hi Paolo,
I need more information about your issue - what directory on your SD card do you have Locus installed? Keep in mind that in Android 6 the external card drive is not named as "sdcard" but with some codename like XHSMDNFIRHF.

OK, if you made a standard installation then Locus is installed in your phone internal memory - no matter that it's named "SDcard". Then Locus downloads online maps to the internal memory too and maybe you don!'t have enough space in it for downloading 2,5 GB. There a few methods how to deal with this, see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:use_sdcard_on_kitkat

If I use method B I get a screen different from the example in the link.
Which is the right selection ?

I would try the last one if you want to have all Locus on your external drive. Keep in mind that there is a risk - if you uninstall Locus, all your data (maps, tracks, routes, points, caches...) will be deleted.
