Yesterday I wanted to download an Offline card (Netherlands). The download was terminated with the error message: Unexpected problem occurred! File "sdcart1 / locus.europ" disk may be read-only.

Can you help me? Many Thanks!

Dear Manfred,

I'm sorry for troubles. Could I ask you for following:

- in first step try to download it again

- please check the free space on your device about 1.7 GB is needed (basically is needed about 1000 MB but map is downloaded as zip package and space is needed for unpack)

- have you changed any settings in Menu > Settings > Miscellaneous > Default directories, please? Especially the settings for "mapsVector" folder?

Thank you

Best regards

Dear Petr, Thank you for the reply. A new download attempt has also failed. The memory is 2.3 GB. With the settings I have reset everything to standard values. The program has been re-installed with the result, now all offline maps installed in the past have disappeared.

Best regards

Dear Manfred,

ahh you performed more steps than I expected. I'd like to know if folder for vectorMaps was set for default or custom folder. However please look for previous vectorMaps folder - probably Sdcard1/locus/. Please move all *.osm.map and *.osm.db files to the current default folder.

Thank you

Dear Petr, Thank you for your reply.

The default folder is "/ sdcard1 / locus (2 GB). He has, however, the remark that he is only authorized to read. Also, I get the hint "Problem with working directory". The memory space is no longer sufficient for moving all offline cards to the internal memory.

Best regards

Dear Manfred,

thank you for info.

From Android version 4.4 Locus working directory can't be located on the external sdcard. I guess that you probably recently updated the android system. I can suggest following:

- uninstall Locus

- rename Locus folder on the external sdcard for example use the name "LocusOld"

- install Locus and start it. During initialization Locus creates new working directory in the internal memory

- after that you can add maps from external sdcard using feature External Maps: please see: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_external

Please let me know about progress

Thank you

Best regards

Petr
