Dropbox/Gdrive can't navigate folders (import/export)

Hello

I have a strange problem since a few weeks.

Reading and writing files to/from Dropbox or GDrive works fines, as far as this is on the currently selected folder. This includes automatic backup, as well as exporting or importing a track or set of points.

Problems start if I try to navigate into the folder tree. If I try to change to another folder, then screen says "Loading ..." and stay there for minutes before aborting.

I tried to re-install Dropbox app without any luck.

I tried to disconnect and reconnect to my Dropbox account without any luck too.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Good day Barbudor,

sorry to read about such weird troubles. It is possible for you to create for me log by this method, right after app completely crash/abort? If you will see some "App not responding, wait?" dialog, then just tap few times on this "wait" option. Thanks

Hello,

thanks for a log. Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing that should tell me more about it. Without ability to simulate this, it is close to impossible to fix it.

Anyway, few facts:

  • Locus Map use own system, so application Dropbox or Google Drive in your device has no effect on this feature
  • did you tried to logout/login over top three-dot menu > logout?
  • did you tried to move directly to root folder by tap on first part of top "path"

Yes, no change.

Yes, it does the same as trying to reach another folder


It getting weirder : When I exit the Data screen, it looks like Locus is restarting as I see the same window (Loading...) as when I start Locus.

Oki, let's move with it. Is it possible for you to try a special Locus Map Free version?

I rewrote part that shares Google Drive and Dropbox for move between directories so we will see if this helps. If not, please create me a log by mentioned method once more, with this new version (it print into log more information and public version from Google Play).

Hello,

they both may live together without any worry. Both apps share the same internal "Locus" folder, so you will even see existing maps & points & track in this version as well.

It worked fine with the beta version for both Dropbox and Gdrive.

I even re-imported my backup from LMPro and was still working (I was afraid that the problem could somehow be related to a damaged database).

Still not working in LMPro.


So looks like you have a fix for a future version.
