Edit routs and faster map download

Love the program but would like to see 2 things improve:
1) To be able to edit a previously drawn or recorded rout. It would be nice to be able to add onto one end or the other or change points in-between.
2) To be able to download maps faster in one session. I`ve currently been downloading a map for one month now and am only half way there.
I like this idea 
some track edition is possible (remove point) but cutting and merging is missing

merging is already there. Go to Track manager screen, select tracks you want to merge and tap on last bottom button
