Editing a track point by map results in a hang-up of Locus.

Any ideas?

I tried to edit an existing track. There is a gap because i paused the track- recording for a while.

To get the correct track length, i picked the last point (before the pause) and tried to move it, inside the map, to the first position after the gap.

Then Locus hangs - and i need an "hard"stop...

edit

a fast workaround:

load gpx to texteditor and delete line 8876 and 8877 and import it again.

Editing the original track on my Moto G fails...

In the meantime i tried to edit the same (exported) track on my Nexus7 - and it works !

(reimporting the edited track on the Moto G -> looks fine.

Btw, I will prevent the "pause" option and hope it will work as before on my moto G, too

(Now i have a workaround - so i dont need your workaround at the moment

nevertheless, thanks)

Hello Thomas and gynta. Unfortunately I'm also unable to simulate your problem.

Please

next time when this happen, create for me a log as gynta mentioned.

There will be probably some incorrect work with list of points, so I'll

gladly check it, but log is needed for this.

Sorry for a troubles and thanks for understanding.

I did some tests.

Trying to delete a part of the recorded track (5 min at the end) causes a endless "working" - it hangs (on my MotoG)

Then i copied the same track to my Nexus 7 and did the same - superb result.

Copied it back to the MotoG. Trying another Delete - hangs again.

On both there is the newest Locus und Andorid (4.4)...

Perhaps a problem on my MotoG mobile?

Are there different OS on tablet <> mobile ?

Hello Thomas,

sorry for a late response.

No, there is no difference between Locus versions. I see no reason why on certain device, it should crash.

You wrote it "hands". How long did you leave Locus on this task? Also is Locus crashing with "Force close" dialog, or you just tap on screen and appear dialog with options "Wait" and "Close"?

There should be difference in speed, how Locus works with database, so it may a longer time.

Alternative is to create a log as described here http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log . If there will be any errors message, it may helps to solve this problem.
