Editing tracks is so not intuitive if I don't do it regularly I can't figure it out for the life of

I simply want to resume a track where I left off. What I think to be the most logical patch clicking the point I want to extend the track from, then clicking edit, follows a puzzle that always leads to a dead end. Can someone explain what exactly one needs to do to add to a track from one of the end points?

Okay, I figured it out. Adding a point doesn't happen where the center crosshair is anchored to the track, as you'd initially expect. In fact I don't see the purpose of the anchored crosshair at all if when adding a track point is done completely independent of the crosshair and it's perforated line connecting to the track: it's where on the map that you touch the screen next that makes the point. I promise I'll be back here again in a month or so to ask this question again. This track editing has zero indication for the user of what next to so.

Idk how to mark this as answered. Does someone else do that or is it so complicated I have to start a thread to ask for help on it?

Hi, if you have a track and you want to prolong it, i.e. add more routepoints to it, open it in route planner instead of track editor. (Tap on the route on map, select 'Route planner' from the popup menu. Then add routepoints, save the new route.
