Eniro maps fails

Not a Problem

Can't zoom in when I use online Eniro maps. No problem with Bing or Google online maps.

Good day Hans,

unfortunately Eniro, as well as Bing or Google Maps are not officially supported and we cannot help with this problem.

You have probably added them by alternative method that Locus Map provide , so it is needed to fix them by your own or contact person who provide configuration files for alternative maps.

Bing and Google are still working (but for how long?)

I must miss something here!? There must be some kind of workaround!?

Or is the app that I have loved since it started years ago worthless!

Please tell me that I have wrong and don't understand how to do get Eniro maps to work again

Hello Hans,

Eniro, Google and many other map providers were removed from Locus more then four years ago and they are not officially supported because these map providers simply do not allow to add their maps to app like Locus for now.

If you have them in Locus Map and you do not know why, then you may use MapTweak add-on from Google Play, that is anyway developed by independent developer and we have nothing in common with this project. If this is your case, you needs to contact developer of this add-on.

@Hans, I zoom until 20 on Aerial and 17 on Classic....

I'm in Norway, had to go via vpn (Sweden location) to get it work.. Didn't had to do this before, maybe temporary or permanent issue/solution.

Did some testing here, connection to eniro server is not very reliable. Sometimes it ok, sometimes its broken. What's funny, when it fails, it will show "Loading..." on mapscreen like normal, but only display white or transparent tiles (empty?) on your mapscreen. You can even download an area or screen for offline use with success, but map is empty (40 kb..ish)

Really spooky....if I restart my phone, everything is ok again. My online maps is set to cache tiles, and a white area is present where I tried to get it working before restarting phone. Clear cache on your online map properties will solve that.

because you wrote about some random fails, I've installed mapTweak add-on and tried these Eniro maps. Unfortunately for you, their server has some kind of protection that prevent invalid usage, like in this case,

After some time, response from server contains only text

Blocked - Blockerad - Blokkért, Your request has been blocked. This means your IP has been added to a black list for some reason - usually because of abuse. If you are a friendly and legitimate user you have been unlucky - we are working on it!

So issue is not on side of Locus or add-on. You will have to find different map or different application. Thanks for understanding.

First of all I will thank you again Menion for your quick and good support!!

Sad to see that Eniro think Locus is "not a friendly and legitimate user", can "Locus" change that?

I think the main reason to use Eniro maps is the nautical maps for Sweden and Norway. Now Eniro hope that we chould use Eniros worthless app "Enrio på sjön" (Eniro at sea). Instead I think most of us will prefer Navionics.

Anyway, if there are any other nautical maps for Sweden and Norway that fit Locus, please let me know

"Problem" is, that if something didn't changed last years, Locus really is illegal user of their maps. Eniro maps were removed from Locus four years back on request of some map providers, because Locus violated their terms of use.

And alternative maps, hmm ... it is more question on my colleague Petr.

I'm not sure, how much these maps are useful, anyway if there will be interest for an official support, Michal may try to negotiate some conditions with this company. So suggest "new idea" and vote vote vote :).

Why Eniro? At my location Eniro Aerial is far superior over Google Satellite. My everyday map is LoMap!
