Error 3 by downloading maps

Dear Locus team, I cannot download any maps from the locus store. It always says "error: 3, please check you wifi (which is fine) or your SD card (which has 12 GB free). I can't find any info regarding the size of one map either. What can I do?

Dear Sarah,

I'm sorry four troubles. Error 3 depicts some issue (time-out) on KOMPASS map server. Maybe some temporary issue. Are you still facing this issue, please? Would you please try to download map again?

Zdravim, u mna presne to iste. Asi mesiac som aplikaciu nepouzival a dnes po update na verziu 3.3.0 mi nechce stiahnut offline mapu - Problem pri stahovani dlazdic. Skontroluj internetove pripojenie a dostatok miesta na SD karte a skus to znova! Error: 3, tile: 36/22/14 Problem nie je ani pripojenie ani SD karta. U mna konkretne sa jedna o mapu 4UMaps-Outdoor, ine som ani neskusal nakolko pouzivam len mapy od nich. Nastaveniami to tiez nebude, nakolko od posledneho stahovania map (asi pred mesiacom) som nic nemenil. Ide o problem sposobeny zmenou v aplikacii alebo o problem so serverom? Ak by vam to pomohlo, tak moje ID je e5b75f251e. Za skore vyriesenie problemu vopred dakujem

Rovnaký problém. Zakúpená mapa bez moznosti stiahnutia. Neviem čo s tým. Prikladám screenshot a prosím o radu.

Jak je zmíněno v předchozím postu, tak error 3 je s největší pravděpodobností nespecifikovaná chyba na straně mapového poskytovatele (jejich mapového serveru)

@Milos - chybnou dlaždici jsem v rychlosti zkontroloval a zdá se být OK. Zkuste prosím mapu stáhnout znova. Pokud stahujete větší oblast, tak prosím o zvážení stažení LoMaps z obchodu, které jsou až 10x menší a nabízí další fce

@Marek - založte prosím privátní tiket a pošlete mě info o jakou mapu se jedná a Váš účet (email), který používáte v Locus obchodu.

Pred stiahnutim tejto mapy som sa pokusal stiahnut inu, ovela mensiu oblast v medziach denneho limitu. Problem bol a nadalej je stale ten isty. Pred par minutami som to skusal znova...je jedno aku velku oblast zvolim, dokonca som daval aj ineho providera a druh mapy (Map1.eu), ale bezuspesne. Nemam ziadny problem so zakupenim mapy ani s platenymi verziami, ide len o to ze na mapu, ktorej oblast som si chcel stiahnut offline som zvyknuty a paci sa mi aj vizualne. Myslim ze spominany problem by sa tykal aj zakupenej mapy ako u Mareka. Ak chcete, mozem vyskusat aj ked neviem pre aku mapu by som sa mal rozhodnut.

Rozumím, snažíme se vždy upozornit na LoMapy aby uživatelé zbytečně nestahovali velké oblasti. Nicméně zpět k chybě. Podíváme se na problém podrobně příští týden, možná by to mohlo být chybou v Locusu. Děkuji Petr V.

Rád bych Vás informoval, že ještě dnes vydáme opravnou verzi 3.33.1, která by měla řešit problém Error 3. Vyčkejte prosím na novou verzi a po té zkuste mapu stáhnout znova.

Same problem with two phones, locus 3.33.0. Tried seversal maps, none working - map1 and geoportailmaps e. g.

I also have thisproblem since 2 days. No maps can be fully downloaded despite lots of free memory and speedy wifi! The error-message pops up after 2 items have been downloaded. The incomplete files are created. An additional message is displayed that problems with file /storage/emulated/0/Locus/maps/Name-of-Map....

Same problem here since yesterday. I spent 499 Locoins on a Kompass map and I have been unable to dowload it. Plus it is causing the app often to crash when starting when it initialises the map and says there is a problem with the sqllite db of the map.

I need the problem to be fixed or at least the Locoins refunded.

I'm sorry for troubles. Please try to download KOMPASS map again and create screenshot of error message. Regarding to initialization issue - this map will be probably somehow broken or damaged. Please send me also the screenshot of error message and send me more info about map? Is it any purchased map from Locus store? Please create new private ticket and send me mentioned screenshots. I don't want to mix several issue in this topic. Thank you, Petr

Hi, How big was your downloaded map, >10,000 tiles? Were you able to download it without seeing any Error 3 using Version 3.33.1? I was not able to download any maps without seeing Error 3. I have to repeatedly restart the download process again and again! Took me 8 hours to download 10,000 tiles on Google Map.

Hi, now that it has downloaded, I don't seem to be able to see any longer how many tile it is. I can see it's 72 MB, which I think is <10k tiles (maybe a few thousands). With v. 3.33.1 I finally downloaded it in one go without no Error 3.

Доброго времени суток! Обновление программ до версии 3.33.1 29.08.2018, решило эту проблему. Теперь все карты скачиваются и загружаются в память телефона и навигатора как и раньше, без всяких проблем и сообщений об ошибке. Спасибо, что оперативно решили проблему.

3.33.1 is still not fixing the problem completely with downloading online maps. You can start download now but it is very slow. Tried different map sources (ie. Google or Bing), same problem. This will cause many time-outs and getting error 3 again and again.

original problem was reported by Sarah more then month ago, so it has nothing to do with recent troubles in latest 3.30 version of Locus Map. For these new troubles, please follow changes in this topic: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/problem-with-download-online-maps .

Please leave this topic for Sarah & Petr to solve an older problem that was direct with Kompass maps. Thank you for understanding.
