Flashlight function
Gathering feedback
Hi,
It would be nice to have a simple flashlight on/off function which could then be added to a function panel.
I do need a flashlight often during geocaching. My Galaxy S5 has a widget for that, but I can't add that widget to my function panel.
Btw, Locus pro is my favourite App ever. It's a "one for everything" solution, thanks for your work!
Greetings, Jens
You can use a free automation app, like MacroDroid, to activate the flashlight by shaking the phone (or via some other action like pressing the power button 3 times or pressing the volume button twice, etc).

thanks, seems to be a powerful app! But I don't like apps, which want a whole bunch of permissions to control my device, especially when I only want to do one simple action.
Of course there are flashlight apps (like Taschenlampe (Privacy Friendly)) working ad-free and with only one permission (camera). I tested that with Locus, but it is simply not as convenient as a built-in Locus function would be

You can control the permissions you wish to grant to MacroDroid.
You can also use MacroDroid to control Locus Map using "Android Intents". For example, you can press the volume button twice and it will create a waypoint in Locus Map or pause track-recording.
